PPM Debuts In Montreal

ARBITRON's PPM makes its official debut in The Great White North TODAY, as broadcasters in MONTREAL receive their first eight weeks of PPM data from BBM CANADA, a not-for-profit industry organization comprised of TV and radio stations, ad agencies and advertisers.

The first eight weeks of the initial 13-week currency period is being provided to allow BBM members to plan for the official currency release on DEC. 10th, 2008 (covering the period from SEPT. 1st to NOV. 30th, 2008). The data are produced from full-strength French speaking and English speaking panels.

After PPM becomes currency on DEC. 10th, future MONTREAL PPM data will release monthly starting JAN. 7th, 2009. BBM will release the final diary-based currency on NOV. 27th to provide support for buys posted on diary data in MONTREAL.

After MONTREAL, BBM CANADA will roll out in TORONTO, VANCOUVER, CALGARY, and EDMONTON in Fall 2009.
