CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40/Mainstream WDGC (G105)/RALEIGH morning show BOB & The Showgram will broadcast live all day from 6a-6p for its 1st Annual BOB’s BUDDIES to benefit THE PEDIATRIC BRAIN TUMOR FOUNDATION radiothon. The goal is to raise money for the research that can save children with brain tumors.
In April 2007, morning host BOB DUMAS battled a life-threatening brain tumor and received cutting edge treatment; it is currently in remission. During his ordeal, BOB learned children have limited treatment options because their bodies cannot tolerate many of the most successful adult brain tumor treatments, so he decided to use his notoriety to help these kids.
Next FRIDAY’s day-long event will take place in Center Court of CRABTREE VALLEY MALL, where national and local celebrities, affected children and their families, and doctors and researchers will stop by to share their own personal experiences and explain firsthand the miracles that can happen when a community comes together and embraces a cause this special. An online auction will also be held at that time, for items such as a 7-night deluxe vacation in ARUBA, autographed guitars, albums and instruments from artists such as COLDPLAY, JOHN MAYER, KATY PERRY, LINKIN PARK, GAVIN ROSSDALE, WILL FERRELL, DAVID COOK, NELLY and more.
Donate online at www.bobandtheshowgram.com, by calling (919) 232-CURE or in person at Center Court at CRABTREE VALLEY MALL.
