Budget Cuts Hit CBS Hartford

According to THE HARTFORD COURANT, budget cuts have begun at CBS RADIO/HARTFORD, CT as AC WRCH (LITE 100.5) long-time weekend night talent GLENN COLLIGAN comes off his SATURDAY and SUNDAY 7-mid shift. COLLIGAN is replaced by nationally syndicated radio host DELILAH, but can still be heard on sister N/T WTIC-A for "THE TAG SALE" on SUNDAYS from 9a-noon.

Over at sister Hot AC WTIC (96.5 TIC), weeknight talent DANA MCKAY is replaced by the nationally syndicated BILLY BUSH show.

CBS RADIO/HARTFORD, CT OM STEVE SALHANY tells the HARTFORD COURANT, "Like everyone else in these times, we have to find ways to tighten our belts and at the same time still put on great programming." SALHANY said there have been some other off-the-air staff changes that would not affect broadcasting.
