While "Chinese Democracy" was revealed to record-setting numbers of listeners on MYSPACE last week, DETROIT GUNS N’ ROSES fans had the opportunity to preview the new record in style at an official BEST BUY listening party, writes GUNSNROSES.US.
LEAH DUDEK, an artist development rep for UNIVERSAL MUSIC, hosted the event. She noted that hopes are high "Chinese Democracy" will be a major hit with fans old and new. "We’re hoping the album will at least match sales of 'Black Ice' in the first week."
GREATER MEDIA Active Rock WRIF/DETROIT was on hand, with Event Manager JADE saying, "I really like the new record. It’s better than the old stuff, 'Chinese Democracy' has a better sound. It’s harder and more modern." Fellow WRIF staff member ALEX was impressed by the level of talent displayed on the record, saying, "I like it a lot. It’s a heavier sound and the band is very, very talented. It’s different than anything they’ve ever done, a lot of it is more metal. It’s melodic, but really heavy."
