The political advertising season is not over in GEORGIA, where Democratic senatorial candidate JIM MARTIN has enlisted President-Elect BARACK OBAMA to record a radio ad to aid his bid to unseat incumbent Republican SAXBY CHAMBLISS in a runoff on DECEMBER 2nd.
The spot began airing on radio on FRIDAY; OBAMA had previously recorded an ad for MARTIN that ran during the general election. Former VP AL GORE visited ATLANTA to campaign for MARTIN on SUNDAY, and former President BILL CLINTON was in town last week for the campaign, while Republican presidential candidate JOHN MCCAIN, who beat OBAMA in the state, has campaigned for CHAMBLISS.
