In CLEVELAND, MS, JIM GREGORY, who left RADIO CLEVELAND Country WMJW last MONDAY, turned up this morning as the morning guy on new sign-on WKXY (KIX 92.1). WKXY is playing all-CHRISTMAS music until CHRISTMAS DAY.
The station's new format will be "unwrapped" on CHRISTMAS DAY at 12 noon. "Maybe I'll finally get a chance to do that all-polka format I've always wanted to do", GREGORY said. "The WKXY studio is about a mile closer to my house than the WMJW studio, plus WKXY is a lot closer to the SONIC Drive-In, so I just had to make the move."
WKXY is owned by LARRY FUSS' DELTA RADIO, for whom GREGORY did mornings from 1992-2003. DELTA RADIO exited the market in 2003, but returns to CLEVELAND with WKXY, which went on-air NOVEMBER 8th.
