Chapman To Exit BBC World Service

BBC WORLD SERVICE Director and BBC WORLD SERVICE TRUST Chairman NIGEL CHAPMAN is exiting the network to join PLAN INTERNATIONAL, an international children's charity for which he has served as a trustee for six years, as CEO.
CHAPMAN, who has been serving as Chair of the U.K. National Organization of PLAN, was named Director of the WORLD SERVICE in 2004 and has spent 31 years at the BBC, including a stint as Director of BBC ONLINE and serving as Controller, BBC ENGLISH REGIONS. He takes over at PLAN on APRIL 1st, replacing TOM MILLER.
