KATZ MEDIA GROUP will represent LINCOLN FINANCIAL MEDIA, which owns or operates 15 radio stations in four major markets, including ATLANTA, DENVER, MIAMI and SAN DIEGO. The agreement calls for KATZ to begin selling advertising time on LINCOLN stations on DECEMBER 1st.
"We’re excited to enter into a partnership with LINCOLN FINANCIAL MEDIA that we believe will create long-term value for both companies," said KATZ RADIO GROUP Pres. MARK GRAY. "I’m confident that LINCOLN’s strong station lineup, coupled with our talented and dedicated sales force, will lead to creative sales solutions, new revenue streams and outstanding results in the years ahead."
"LINCOLN FINANCIAL is excited to have the KATZ RADIO GROUP’s high-caliber sales team represent our stations," said LFM Pres./CEO DON BENSON. "By teaming up with KATZ, we anticipate benefiting from its long history of excellent client service, strong sales infrastructure and deep agency relationships."
Beasley Also Signs On The Dotted Line
In addition to LINCOLN FINANCIAL, KATZ has also signed BEASLEY BROADCAST GROUP, based in NAPLES, FL. Founded in 1961, BEASLEY owns or operates 44 stations in 11 large- and mid-size markets across the U.S. More than 40% of its stations are in the nation’s top 50 markets, such as PHILADELPHIA, MIAMI-FORT LAUDERDALE and LAS VEGAS.
“KATZ is extremely honored to represent a broadcasting company with the reputation and long history of the BEASLEY GROUP,” said KATZ Pres. MARK GREY. “The BEASLEY family has built an extraordinary track record of radio excellence over many years, creating a company with leading digital technology, nationally recognized programming, experienced management and strong community support.”
Katz And Marketron Partner On Electronic Delivery
KATZ MEDIA GROUP and MARKETRON BROADCAST SOLUTIONS are expanding delivery of electronic orders for radio advertising schedules from national advertising agencies. In JANUARY, 2009, KMG and MARKETRON will enable the processing of electronic sales orders for KMG’s nationally represented business for distribution to all participating MARKETRON TRAFFIC, VISUAL TRAFFIC and DELTAFLEX radio clients.
"One of the industry’s most important objectives is to make radio easier to buy," said MARKETRON CEO PETE D’ACOSTA. "To achieve this we need to work toward an industry-wide electronic system that facilitates the electronic exchange of orders and invoices. Our partnership with KATZ represents a cornerstone of this project and a giant step forward for radio. Buyers and sellers now have a new, efficient process that will eliminate discrepancies, reduce operational costs and open the door to buyers of all traditional and emerging non-traditional radio inventory."
