CORUS has gotten approval for the use of 100.5 FM in the move of its Oldies-Talk CKRU-A (980 KRUZ)/PETERBOROUGH, ON to FM. The station was given conditional approval for the move in MAY but needed to find an appropriate frequency; CKRU's FM facility will have an effective radiated power of 5,000 watts.
In another move by the CRTC, FAITHWAY COMMUNICATIONS won approval to add transmitters at WOODSTOCK, NEW BANDON, and SAINT STEPHEN, NB for its Religion CJRI/FREDERICTON, NB. Each new transmitter will operate with 50 watts. CJRI was given approval last week to move its primary frequency from 94.7 to 104.5 FM to avoid interference from a new U.S. station.
