CRTC Rejects Power Boost For CKNX-FM-2

Says No

The CRTC has denied BLACKBURN RADIO's application to change the frequency of the CENTREVILLE-MEAFORD, ON transmitter of its Hot AC CKNX-F (101.7 THE ONE)/WINGHAM, ON from 104.9 FM to 102.7 FM and increase power from 5 to 250 watts. 

The denial was based on the proposed power increase for CKNX-FM-2, which the CRTC said would remedy coverage problems in MEAFORD but would impermissibly extend coverage towards THORNBURY.
