CUMULUS Hot AC WJLQ/PENSACOLA took advantage of its reach into the MOBILE market to set up a bet between PENSACOLA Mayor JOHN FOG and MOBILE Mayor SAM JONES over the upcoming FLORIDA-ALABAMA SEC championship game. Best of all, no matter who comes out on top the real winner will be the local food banks.
It started during a break in a conference call in PD BRIAN BURNS' office with both Mayors. Q100 morning man MATT MCCOY jokingly asked who was going to win the SEC Championship game, the two mayors started bragging about how bad each other's home state's team was going to beat the other. MATT and BRIAN then convinced them to go on air and make a wager on the game, with the loser having to donate $150 to the winners local area food bank.
