RADIO ONE Talk WOL-A/WASHINGTON and XM SATELLITE RADIO "THE POWER" host JOE MADISON has received word that his trip to DARFUR and southern SUDAN last MARCH to get treatment for a child with an infected leg wound was a success, as KUOT DUO KUOT has recovered and will not lose his leg. REDDING NEWS REVIEW reports that MADISON and CHRISTIAN SOLIDARITY INTERNATIONAL anti-slavery activist JOHN EIBNER received word of the boy's recovery over the THANKSGIVING holiday.
"The only doctor in the area told us that if he did not receive medical attention soon, the infection would spread, and his leg would likely need to be amputated without proper medical care," said MADISON. "That news made that grueling trip very rewarding and our THANKSGIVING all the more meaningful."
