WCTY To Host Benefit Concert For Local Family

HALL COMMUNICATIONS Country WCTY/NORWICH-NEW LONDON, CT will host a special benefit concert tonight (12/8) featuring several local bands, to help raise money for the GIRARD family in VOLUNTOWN, CT.

The GIRARDS lost their home to an accidental fire and afterward also lost two family members (father THOM and 18-year-old son MARC) in a tragic drowning accident at a nearby lake. The popular TV show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is currently in town rebuilding them a new house, and the episode will air on ABC-TV in FEBRUARY 2009.

The benefit concert will be held at the HOLIDAY INN BALLROOM in NORWICH at 7:30p (ET). Admission is free with a non-perishable food item or a new unwrapped toy. For more information, visit www.wcty.com.
