CBS Alternative WXTM/CLEVELAND re-launched today (1/17) as "92-3 K-ROCK," officially adopting new call letters WXRK, previously used in NEW YORK. The station has broadened its music to include a wider variety of currents and gold. WXTM was running jockless and in "random play" using only the 92-3 moniker since the beginning of the year.
WXRK PD KIM MONROE notes, "For the past two weeks we've experimented on-air with a number of different musIc choices. Listener feedback has been overwhelming positive for the expanded playlist, and we're confident we've created a station that will be embraced throughout CLEVELAND."
"By adapting to the changing tastes of the listeners we're able to further grow WXRK's audience," stated WXRK VP/GM TOM HERSCHEL. "And it provides us with opportunities to creative new and unique programs and promotions."
