Most of the radio stations in the GREENSBORO-WINSTON SALEM-HIGH POINT market are banding together as the PIEDMONT TRIAD RADIO BROADCASTERS for an unprecedented campaign to help the hungry in the TRIAD. The stations are promoting “Hunger-Free Holidays,” a food and cash collection campaign to benefit the SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK, with the goal that nobody goes hungry this season.
The stations, along with GREENSBORO COLISEUM and LAWRENCE JOEL VETERANS MEMORIAL COLISEUM, are encouraging donations of non-perishable food and money at the two-day event in WINSTON-SALEM on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 19 and at GREENSBORO on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 20.
The campaign includes six radio broadcasting companies and their twenty plus radio stations, dedicating well over $500,000 in advertising and promotional time to raise awareness for the cause. ENTERCOM, CLEAR CHANNEL, CURTIS MEDIA GROUP, DAVIDSON, DICK BROADCASTING, and TRUTH BROADCASTING are all participating in the campaign.
