O'Dell Airs Final Show At WGN

SPIKE O'DELL brought over 21 years at TRIBUNE Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO to a close before what he called "300-some of my closest friends" at a live final retirement show at the METROPOLIS PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE in ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL TODAY (12/12). The show featured appearances by past and present on-air co-horts and a call-in gag and live appearance by JOHN WILLIAMS, who will be replacing the retiring O'DELL in mornings on WGN starting MONDAY (12/15). O'DELL started at WGN in afternoons, the moved to mornings to replace the late BOB COLLINS in 2000.
Lt. Governor PAT QUINN presented O'DELL a proclamation making TODAY "SPIKE O'DELL DAY" in the state of ILLINOIS.
