In the wake of the collapse of the auto industry bailout in the U.S. Senate late THURSDAY, CBS RADIO's DETROIT cluster has launched programming to support the auto industry, with the AM side of the Sports WXYT-A-F (97.1 THE TICKET) simulcast going into a continuous stream of messages of support for the car companies and workers from civic, community and business leaders starting at 10a ET TODAY (12/12). The cluster's other stations-- News WWJ-A, Smooth Jazz WVMV (V98.7), Country WYCD, Oldies WOMC, and Sports WXYT-F will join the "Stand Up and Be Proud" salute on-air throughout the day.
Market Manager DEBBIE KENYON said, "DETROIT and the surrounding areas have so much to be proud of and thankful for. The CBS DETROIT radio stations launched the Stand Up and Be Proud campaign to salute and recognize all of the positive achievements in our region."
