With the failure of the state of ILLINOIS to come through with funding to complete the structure, the unfinished MUSEUM OF BROADCAST COMMUNICATIONS building in CHICAGO has been put up for sale.
The museum was promised $8 million in state money in 2005 for the construction of the museum on Kinzie and State Streets in CHICAGO, but Gov. ROD BLAGOJEVICH, who was arrested this week for allegedly trying to sell the Senate seat being vacated by BARACK OBAMA to the highest bidder, never came through with funds to complete the project.
Museum head BRUCE DUMONT tells ABC O&O WLS-TV/CHICAGO that the organization owes $4.7 million on construction and a lien was placed on the property.
