CLEAR CHANNEL SVP/MID-SOUTH REGION ALENE GREVEY has announced that CLEAR CHANNEL RVPP and Top 40 WIHT (HOT 99.5)/WASHINGTON and Country WMZQ PD JEFF WYATT has resigned. And, leaving the cluster is TOD CASTLEBERRY, who was OM at N/T/S WTEM-A, and PD at N/T/S sister WWRC-A.
In a note to the staff, GREVEY said, "JEFF WYATT has tendered his resignation and as of today has moved to his next adventure. I’d like to express my heartfelt thanks to JEFF for his creativity and leadership for the stations in this cluster and throughout the WASHINGTON-BALTIMORE TRADING AREA. During his time here, JEFF has helped to create a lot of great radio and to motivate many into being better broadcasters.
"I have also accepted TOD CASTLEBERRY’s resignation. TOD has been instrumentally involved with Sports Radio from its inception and we appreciate his efforts in the innovation of the format."
WYATT told ALL ACCESS, "I sincerely appreciate all Sr. VP/Product MARC CHASE, ALENE GREVEY and CC have done for me and allowed me to do. I consider them friends and it was a sweet parting. I just feel opportunity knockin'... and i gotta be ready. This move frees me up at a time when circumstances allow it. I've had a great time and will tremendously miss a lot of the people there... especially at HOT 99.5 in DC! Breaking away was tough man."
Expect details on where WYATT and CASTLEBERRY are headed to be announced, shortly. Reach WYATT at RadioEZ@aol.com.
