MIKE PINTEK is returning to CBS RADIO Talk KDKA-A/PITTSBURGH and afternoon host FRED HONSBERGER moves to noon-3p in changes announced TODAY that will take effect on JANUARY 5.
PINTEK, who left the station after 24 years in DECEMBER 2005 and was most recently heard filling in for middays at CBS Talk WHFS (now Sports WJZ-F (105.7 THE FAN))/BALTIMORE and on fill-ins at sister Talk KMOX-A/ST. LOUIS, will handle 6-10p weeknights, while HONSBERGER's move to noon-3p replaces KEVIN MILLER in the slot. Afternoons will now be occupied by a local news block 3-6p anchored by PAUL RASMUSSEN and ROSE RYAN-DOUGLAS.
"We are very excited to announce MIKE's return," said SVP/Market Manager MICHAEL YOUNG. "MIKE's zest for news-driven talk radio, along with his natural affinity for southwestern PENNSYLVANIA and specifically KDKA, makes his return to the radio station very special."
"The guy who said 'you can’t go home again' was wrong!" said PINTEK. "I am absolutely ecstatic about coming home to KDKA."
