SALEM Talk WIND-A/CHICAGO will launch a live overnight show, "CHICAGO OVERNIGHT," hosted by current "LIVING LARGE" weekend show host GEOFF PINKUS, on JANUARY 6. The show will air nightly from midnight to 4 TUESDAY through SATURDAY. Veteran producer BONNIE SPORN, who most recently produced the "STAN AND TERRY" show on CBS Talk WCKG (105.9 FREE FM) (now AC WCFS (FRESH 105.9)), will produce the new show.
"At a time when our industry is downsizing and eliminating local programs, we see an opportunity to reach a neglected audience during the overnight hours with a locally-focused show," said PD MARCUS BROWN.
"I grew up in CHICAGO listening to some of the city’s radio legends, and I hope I can emulate a little of what I’ve heard over the years on this program," said PINKUS. "What better time of day is there to talk about what makes this city great than the middle of the night?"
