CITADEL Country KIZN (KISSIN 92)/BOISE PD RICH SUMMERS tells ALL ACCESS, "Our 2008 Keep Kids Warm On-Air auction was a success! We had hoped to hit $25,000 this year, but we got a welcome surprise. In spite of the economy, KISSIN 92 listeners opened up their pocketbooks and gave to our local kids charity 'Keep Kids Warm' to the sum of $45,575! That money will be used to pay heating and utility bills of families in the BOISE area facing tough times this winter (which by the way is here -- about 8 inches of snow over the weekend with more on the way, and daytime highs of 30-35)."
SUMMERS continued, "We auctioned off autographed guitars, signed sheet music, artwork and other items from country artists. We had autographed items from several NASCAR teams, and a lot of local merchants and listeners donated goods and services as well."
