She may be getting a divorce but MADONNA still felt the love onstage. POLLSTAR has named THE MATERIAL GIRL's "Sticky & Sweet" concert tour as the biggest-grossing music tour of 2008 in NORTH AMERICA. The 58-show world tour, which finished in BRAZIL last week, took in $105.3 million.
Not far behind in second place was CANADIAN-born CELINE DION, who left her five-year gig in LAS VEGAS to do about $94 million. THE EAGLES finished third, grossing $73.4 million for their "Long Road out of Eden" tour. Completing the Top 5 were Country music star KENNY CHESNEY ($72.2 million) and rockers BON JOVI ($70.4 million).
The bottom half of the Top 10 were tours by BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN AND THE E STREET BAND ($69.3 million), NEIL DIAMOND ($59.8 million), RASCAL FLATTS ($55.8 million), THE POLICE ($48.0 million) and veteran rocker TINA TURNER ($47.7 million).
