ASSOCIATED PRESS Broadcast Business Editor MARK HAMRICK has been elected chairman of the board of the NATIONAL PRESS CLUB. A 20-year veteran of the AP, HAMRICK is the only broadcaster serving on the board.
"I'm thankful for the support of my colleagues and honored to serve this institution at a critical time in journalism," said HAMRICK. "Between rapid changes in technology and the business environment and the demanding stories journalists have been covering in the past few years, the NATIONAL PRESS CLUB has never been more relevant."
