Former WXBQ Host Bill Blake Dies

Condolences to family and friends of former BRISTOL BROADCASTING CO. Country WXBQ/BRISTOL-JOHNSON CITY-KINGSPORT morning host BILL BLAKE, who died FRIDAY in ABINGDON, VA, according to the BRISTOL HERALD COURIER. BLAKE hosted mornings at WXBQ in 1992 through his 2004 retirement and previously managed radio stations in WEST VIRGINIA, FLORIDA, LOUISIANA, TEXAS, and GEORGIA. 

The paper reports that BLAKE's cremated remains will be scattered in the field by the WXBQ towers and studios.
