Group Names Scully 'Top Sportscaster Of All Time'

LOS ANGELES DODGERS radio and TV legend VIN SCULLY has been named Top Sportscaster of All-Time by the AMERICAN SPORTSCASTERS ASSOCIATION.
SCULLY, who was voted "Sportscaster of the Century" by the ASA in 2000 and was inducted into the NATIONAL BASEBALL HALL OF FAME as the FORD C. FRICK AWARD winner in 1982, topped the ASA's list of Top 50 Sportscasters of All Time, followed in the top 10 by late YANKEE voice MEL ALLEN; DODGER and YANKEE voice RED BARBER; RED SOX and NBC announcer and ABC-TV "AMERICAN SPORTSMAN" host CURT GOWDY; ABC's HOWARD COSELL; NBC, PREMIERE and HBO's BOB COSTAS; ABC's JIM MCKAY and KEITH JACKSON; ABC and NBC broadcaster and former CINCINNATI REDS and SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS voice AL MICHAELS; and veteran sportscaster and former CALIFORNIA ANGELS play-by-play announcer DICK ENBERG.
