Employees and fans staying at the PHEASANT RUN RESORT in St. CHARLES, IL have VALORY MUSIC CO./NASHVILLE artist JIMMY WAYNE to thank for helping them evacuate after overhead pipes burst in the building on SATURDAY (1/17).
JIMMY, who was scheduled to perform that night at the MEGA WINTERFEST, happened to be chatting at the front desk when the below-zero temperatures outside caused the pipes to suddenly burst. The lobby began to flood in ankle-deep water, and he helped move the furniture from the area and evacuate the guests as firefighters arrived.
WAYNE is no stranger to emergency situations - back in NOVEMBER he calmly helped fans evacuate from the COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME & MUSEUM in NASHVILLE after the fire alarm went off in the middle of his performance. After everyone made it out safely, he continued his concert (unplugged) on the sidewalk outside the museum.
