CRTC OKs New Transmitters For Two Newcap P.E.I. FMs

The CRTC has approved NEWCAP's applications to add transmitters in ELMIRA and ST. EDWARD, PEI to rebroadcast its Rock CKQK (P.E.I.'s K-ROCK 105.5) and Adult Hits CHTN (OCEAN 100.3)/CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI. CKQK will add transmitters at 103.7 FM in ELMIRA (990 watts) and 91.1 FM in ST, EDWARD (1,600 watts). CHTN will be heard at 99.9 FM in ELMIRA (990 watts) and 89.9 FM in ST EDWARD (1,600 watts).

The agency also approved RADIO VILLE-MARIE's application to use a subcarrier of its French Religion CIRA/MONTREAL to deliver a Spanish-language station, RADIO LATINA, produced 90% locally by G&Q PRODUCTIONS.
