Software developer "MusicToGo," which provides radio stations with digital download music stores for their websites, announces that veteran industry exec MICHAEL AGOVINO has joined the company as a partner. "MusicToGo" President/CEO JEFFREY SPECTER said, “I can’t think of anybody who has more experience developing revenues for the radio industry then MIKE. His vision and marketing sense are amazing, and we are thrilled MIKE has joined us as we continue to create radio marketing technologies for the industry”
AGOVINO, who began his career in 1985 at KATZ RADIO, where he rose to become the company’s President in 1996, added, “Much of radio's continued success will depend on its ability to innovate and adapt in the face of technological change. Radio has a great opportunity to blend on-air with on-line, and I firmly believe the 'MusicToGo' platform will be a huge asset to the industry in this endeavor.”
"MusicToGo" also announced a group-wide agreement with CITADEL. Said SPECTER, “CITADEL, thanks to COO JUDY ELLIS, realizes that their web sites are becoming a second transmitter because computers have become radios, and they are quickly adapting their stations and their sites to bridge online with on-air, thus extending their bond with their listeners to generate significant new revenues."
In addition to having their own customized digital music stores, CITADEL stations will also now be able to use music as a merchandising tool with download cards, which make great prizes and also give advertisers the ability to use downloads as an incentive for their customers.
