GUARDIAN MEDIA GROUP is considering a sale of its Jazz SMOOTH FM/LONDON and its TRADER MEDIA magazine division for a total of up to £1.7 billion as part fo a strategic review of its non-newspaper assets. Several reports over the weekend indicated that GMG, publishers of the daily GUARDIAN and weekly OBSERVER in the UK, is close to naming advisors from the financial industry to conduct the review; the company is undergoing a management changem with CEO Sir BOB PHILLIS exiting due to his battle with cancer.
