WBZ Brings LeVeille, Dyett Back

Two Return

CBS RADIO Talk WBZ-A/BOSTON does an about-face and rehires STEVE LEVEILLE for overnights, starting MONDAY (2/2).  The station is also bringing back LOVELL DYETT to host a SUNDAY morning public affairs show.  Both hosts were dropped in budget cuts earlier this month, with the station picking up JON GRAYSON's syndicated overnight show from sister Talk KMOX-A/ST. LOUIS.

"I never expected to get a call like that (PD PETER CASEY asking him to return to WBZ)... it's not how the business works.... totally out of left field," LEVEILLE told WBZ1030.COM.
 
CASEY said, "we always knew that the radio audience in NEW ENGLAND and beyond has held WBZ to a higher standard than any other radio station and the local overnight programming was a part of that. WBZ is just a very different radio station than any other. We're happy to bring back STEVE to his overnight midnight to 5a time slot."
