UNIVISION is taking Classic Rock KIOT (COYOTE 102.5)/LOS LUNAS-ALBUQUERQUE back from a trust it set up to spin the station off. The sale of KQBT (now Sports KQTM (101.7 THE TEAM))/RIO RANCHO, NM-ALBUQUERQUE to TEAM BROADCASTING made the spinoff unnecessary to comply with FCC ownership caps.
In other transactions filed with the FCC, EDUCATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO, INC./BROADCAST TOWERS, INC. is selling noncommercial Hot AC WAZQ (Q FM) and FM translator W240BT/KEY WEST, FL to WESTMINSTER ACADEMY for $135,233. The translator will rebroadcast the buyer's noncommercial Religion WAFG/FORT LAUDERDALE.
And the construction permit for new AM station WJFA-A/HILLIARD, FL is being transferred from the DIANNE MAYFIELD-HARDER TRUST to CHUCK HARDER for $100.
