Industry veteran RIC LIPPINCOTT returns to radio, and CHICAGO for his third run in the market as the new PD at BONNEVILLE AC WILV (100.3 LOVE FM), beginning this week. He's replacing Program Mgr. DAVID MALZAHN, aka DAVID J.
LIPPINCOTT was most recently a principal in the ALL COMEDY NETWORK, and has held VP/Promotion slots at CURB RECORDS, and ZOO ENTERTAINMENT, but is best known for his time as OM/PD at ABC's WLS-A back in he day when it was a Top 40 giant. He's also been PD at then-Top 40 WYTZ (WLS-FM). And, the multi-talented LIPPINCOTT holds a commercial airlines pilot license, too.
CHICAGO SUN-TIMES columnist ROBERT FEDER notes that LIPPINCOTT will head a change in direction that includes "more high energy `feel good' songs." BONNEVILLE/CHICAGO VP/Programming GREG SOLK commented to FEDER, "We talked to a dozen top-notch programmers from all over the country with incredible track records, but in the end it was clear RIC LIPPINCOTT was the guy to help take 'LOVE FM' to the next level."
