STILLWATER RADIO Hot AC KSPI and Country KGFY (COWBOY COUNTRY)/STILLWATER, OK inks a deal with LEARFIELD SPORTS' COWBOY SPORTS PROPERTIES to continue as the flagships for OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY sports in a multi-year agreement. The stations have been the COWBOYS' and COWGIRLS' flagship since 1947. The deal includes radio broadcast rights for men's football, basketball, baseball and wrestling, as well as women's basketball, soccer and softball, and associated coaches' shows. Men's sports will air on KSPI with women's sports airing on KGFY.
Station GM STEVEN JOHNS said, "Our stations are proud to have been the flagship broadcast station for OSU since we went on the air in 1947. We’re glad to have the opportunity to re-partner with LEARFIELD SPORTS, which has numerous NCAA Division 1 university sports networks across the country. They do a great job and we look forward to helping them bring COWBOY and COWGIRL sports to our area!"
"This is exciting news for OSU fans and radio listeners in the STILLWATER market," said COWBOY SPORTS PROPERTIES GM KIP RACY. "STEVEN JOHNS and the staff at STILLWATER RADIO are committed to the history of OSU Athletics. This is positive in all aspects for all parties involved, including the many local listeners and supporters of KSPI 93.7 and KGFY 105.5."
