OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY has inked a $110 million, 10-year deal selling media rights for its sports programs to IMG COLLEGE in a partnership with DISPATCH's RADIOHIO, which will continue to hold the school's radio rights. The package is the largest in college sports and comes as RADIOHIO celebrates 25 years as the BUCKEYES' flagship. OSU football airs locally on Sports WBNS-F (97.1 THE FAN)/COLUMBUS.
The current radio deal, running through 2015, will be supplanted by the new deal, which will take the agreement through 2019; radio rights are estimated to be worth about $2 million out of the annual average $11 million under the new deal.
