Longtime KWKH-A PD Barney Cannon Passes

ALL ACCESS sends condolences to the family of longtime GAP BROADCASTING Classic Country KWKH-A/SHREVEPORT PD/morning personality BARNEY CANNON. BARNEY passed away suddenly on SATURDAY (4/18) at the age of 53. His wife, KAYE, said he had suffered from blood clots.

BARNEY began his radio career in 1972, with stops at stations in CLARKSVILLE, TX, NEW BOSTON, TX, TEXARKANA, GLASGOW, KY, WICHITA FALLS and OKLAHOMA CITY, before settling in at KWKH in 1985.

The funeral will be held WEDNESDAY (4/22) at 10a (CT) at the FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH in JEFFERSON, TX. For more on this story, click here.
