JOURNAL COMMUNICATIONS fourth quarter radio revenue fell 2.5% year-to-year to $22.8 million, blamed on the loss of political revenue. Operating earnings rose 28.6% to $7.5 million, which includes a $600,000. gain for the sale of KHLP-A/OMAHA. Full year 2005 revenues rose 2.5% year-to-year to $84.3 million.
The company's overall fourth quarter net earnings dropped 26.5% to $16.7 million (23 cents/share).
