One of the returning sailors on the merchant ship hijacked by Somalian pirates is taking exception to remarks by RUSH LIMBAUGH about the hijackers. SHANE MURPHY, who piloted the MAERSK ALABAMA to port after Captain RICHARD PHILLIPS was taken hostage, called LIMBAUGH's comment that a white president ordering the shooting of black teenage hijackers, as did President OBAMA, would have been subject to a "hue and cry" "hate speech."
MURPHY, talking to the press outside his SEEKONK, MA home FRIDAY, complained about not being left alone since returning home and added, "It feels great to be home, with the exception of RUSH LIMBAUGH, who is trying to make this into a race issue. It's disgusting. The president did the right thing. It's a war. It's about good versus evil. And what you (referring to LIMBAUGH) said is evil, that is hate speech. I won't tolerate it."
LIMBAUGH was off on FRIDAY, with CITADEL Talk WBAP-A/DALLAS host MARK DAVIS filling in.
