GREATER MEDIA Classic Rock WCSX/DETROIT's DEMINSKI AND DOYLE morning show unveiled the result of its "Faces Not Numbers" campaign on TUESDAY (5/12), displaying a massive banner with photos of over 4,000 people affected by the problems of the auto industry at an event outside the CHRYSLER plant in STERLING HEIGHTS. The banner, about 100 feet long and printed by STAHLS' ID DIRECT, will be taken by JEFF DEMINSKI and BILL DOYLE to WASHINGTON, where the hosts will broadcast live on THURSDAY (5/14) and will display the banner to federal legislators.
The idea to show legislators the human face of those affected by their decisions regarding the fate of DETROIT's Big 3 came from D&D producer JIM O'BRIEN, who, triggered by listening to BOB SEGER's "Feel Like a Number," prompted the "Faces Not Numbers" campaign, which collected photos over the last month.
