After 56 Years, Bob Chase Retires From WOWO

After 56 years at FEDERATED MEDIA Talk WOWO-A/FORT WAYNE, Sports Director BOB CHASE is retiring from the station, with his last day set for JUNE 5th. That doesn't mean, however, that CHASE is completely ending his career, because he plans to continue as the voice of FORT WAYNE KOMETS minor league hockey. The 83-year-old broadcaster said on FRIDAY morning's program that he will travel around the country, relax, and sleep in.

WOWO PD DAN MANDIS said, "As sad as I am to see BOB go, I am very happy for him as he travels around the country with his wife of 57 years. We all look forward to hearing BOB's voice again as the KOMETS take to the ice next season."
