SAGA Talk WHCU-A/ITHACA, NY news anchor/reporter TODD MESSER is exiting the CAYUGA RADIO GROUP cluster in late JULY to get married and move to NEW JERSEY. MESSER joined WHCU last JUNE and has been hosting the "EVENING NEWSWATCH" and "SATURDAY MORNING NEWSWATCH" shows as well as anchoring afternoon newscasts on all of the cluster's stations.
That leaves WHCU looking for TODD's replacement. APD DAVE VIESER tells ALL ACCESS that the right candidate will have a minimum of one year experience in a newsroom and will anchor and host news programs and provide nighttime reporting, live on-scene reporting, and website management. Strong writing skills are a must as well as the ability to handle a deadline-driven environment.
Interested candidates should send resume, writing samples, and audio (keep mp3s under 10 MB) to: News Director, CAYUGA RADIO GROUP, 1751 Hanshaw Rd, ITHACA, NY 14850 or e-mail gdunn@cyradiogroup.com. No phone calls/EOE.
