U.K. operator THE LOCAL RADIO COMPANY is selling two stations in SUSSEX and shutting another in BUCKINGHAMSHIRE down, with Classic Hits ARROW FM/HASTINGS and Hot AC SOVEREIGN RADIO/EASTBOURNE-HAILSHAM sold to MEDIA SOUND HOLDINGS for 100,000 pounds. The buyer also owns BRIGHT FM and SPLASH FM.
Meanwhile, LOCAL RADIO has closed Top 40 MIX107/HIGH WYCOMBE, BUCKS as of 10a local time TODAY, with the company handing in the license to OFCOM, citing losses of over 90,000 pounds last year.
