The NASHVILLE chapter of WOMEN ROCK FOR THE CURE (WRFTC) will join the festivities for the upcoming FOOD NETWORK SOUTHERN FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL, being held this weekend (7/31-8/2) at the GAYLORD OPRYLAND RESORT in MUSIC CITY.
The event will feature a variety of exhibitors, food and wine samplings, food competitions, live cooking seminars and opportunities to meet FOOD NETWORK celebrity chefs like ALTON BROWN, BOBBY & JAMIE DEEN and The NEELYS.
The wine tasting will include selections from local favorite ARRINGTON VINEYARDS (owned by KIX BROOKS of BROOKS & DUNN), and proceeds from the wine tasting tickets will benefit WOMEN ROCK FOR THE CURE. WRFTC will be hosting an educational seminar, "Defensive Eating: Soy Facts, Myths and Connection To Breast Cancer" on SATURDAY (8/1) at 7p (CT).
WRFTC will also have an on-site booth providing materials on breast cancer awareness and information about the upcoming SUSAN G. KOMEN RACE FOR THE CURE event in NASHVILLE on OCTOBER 10th.
