Toby Keith Keeps His Promise To Oklahoma Soldier's Family

When SHOW DOG/NASHVILLE star TOBY KEITH visited with Sgt. ROBBY McKENNA on his USO TOUR in APRIL, he promised McKENNA that he would personally deliver a gift back home to his family in PURCELL, OK. Sure enough, TOBY was a man of his word and visited the McKENNA family at their home in JUNE.

The "BIG DOG DADDY" himself called the McKENNAs and asked if they would be home to accept a package (without saying who he was), and soon the family heard a big rumbling sound coming up their driveway. It was TOBY and TOBY's friend CURT MOTLEY, who had ridden through a thunderstorm on their HARLEYS to deliver the gift. After a brief visit with the family, ROBBY happened to call while TOBY was there, so they all got to chat together.

The McKENNAs told the PURCELL REGISTER: "It was a remarkable night we won't forget. We don't know how to express our gratitude for what TOBY has done for us, for ROBBY and for his troop. We want everyone to know what kind of person TOBY KEITH is. He's a hard worker. He loves his country. He cares for his soldiers. And, he's a 'Man Of His Word,' and we know these things are FACTS."
