Arbitron Signs Up Zenith Optimedia For PPM

ZENITH OPTIMEDIA has signed a multi-year agreement with ARBITRON to use its PORTABLE PEOPLE METER (PPM) to plan and buy radio. ZENITH national advertisers include: TOYOTA, SPRINT, GENERAL MILLS, JP MORGAN CHASE, and VERIZON WIRELESS.
"We are gratified by the firm commitment ZENITH has made to the PORTABLE PEOPLE METER," said ARBITRON U.S. MEDIA SERVICES SVP/Sales CAROL HANLEY. "As we get closer to a decision regarding the deployment of the PPM in the U.S. media marketplace, the support by those who spend money advertising on radio should send a clear message to the industry."
