Salem Healthcare Petition Passes 1.2 Million Signature Mark

SALEM RADIO NETWORK's petition against the OBAMA healthcare proposal has reached over 1.2 million signatures and is on track to 1.3 million by the end of the week. The petition will be delivered to Congressional leaders by SALEM hosts MIKE GALLAGHER, DENNIS PRAGER, JANET PARSHALL, MICHAEL MEDVED, and HUGH HEWITT on SEPTEMBER 9th in WASHINGTON.

The FREE OUR HEALTHCARE NOW petition was created in conjunction with the NATIONAL CENTER FOR POLICY ANALYSIS. Printed copies of the petition signatures will be transported to Congress in an ambulance and will be delivered to lawmakers on gurneys. 

Senators JIM DEMINT (R-SC) and KAY BAILEY HUTCHISON (R-TX) will accept the boxes of SRN petitions at the news conference and deliver them in turn to Senate Majority Leader HARRY REID's office. House GOP Leader JOHN BOEHNER (R-OH) and Minority Whip ERIC CANTOR (R-VA) will accept a duplicate copy of the petition to deliver to House Speaker NANCY PELOSI.

"This petition drive represents an unprecedented melding of terrestrial radio, New Media including the Internet, and traditional retail politics as our hosts deliver to Congress over 1.2 million signatures on the hottest political and moral issue of 2009."
