  Condolences to family and friends of former NORTH CAROLINA Congressman BILL HEFNER, who died WEDNESDAY of a brain aneurysm in ALABAMA at 79.
  HEFNER served 24 years in Congress as a Democrat, retiring in 1999. He owned Southern Gospel WRKB-A-F/KANNAPOLIS in the 70's, sang with the HARVESTERS gospel group, and hosted a Country music show on WBTV (TV)/CHARLOTTE in the 50's.
