The news has been circulating all over town for weeks (including at DCRTV.COM, the WASHINGTON POST, ALL ACCESS, and the message board at FEDEX FIELD), and now RED ZEBRA BROADCASTING Sports WTEM-A (ESPN 980)/WASHINGTON has officially announced to the media the return of TONY KORNHEISER for 10a-noon, starting TUESDAY (9/8). KORNHEISER, the longtime WASHINGTON POST columnist who co-hosts ESPN's "PARDON THE INTERRUPTION" and served as analyst for ESPN's MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL until the end of last season, formerly hosted his show at WTEM, ESPN RADIO, XM SATELLITE RADIO, and BONNEVILLE Talk WTWP-A-F (WASHINGTON POST RADIO, then Talk WWWT-A (3WT), now WFED-A).
"I am thrilled beyond words to be back on the radio, on the station where I started, doing a local show in the town where I live," said KORNHEISER.
RED ZEBRA VP/Operations DENNIS GLASGOW added, "I'm elated to have TONY KORNHEISER join our lineup on ESPN 980. Like many, I'm personally a huge KORNHEISER fan and have loved his brand of radio for many years. I look forward to TONY bringing his unique, compelling and entertaining look at sports and life to our listeners."
