SALEM's MICHAEL MEDVED and DIAL GLOBAL's THOM HARTMANN will debate health care in "9-1-1 on Healthcare: The Great Healthcare Debate," to be aired on MEDVED's syndicated show, SALEM Talk WIND-A/CHICAGO, NEWSWEB Talk WCPT-A-F/CHICAGO and other stations to be announced. The show will air FRIDAY (9/11) at 4p CT. The two hosts squared off in MARCH at a WIND event, leading to this week's debate.
"All summer on local and national talk shows, the mere mention of the healthcare issues has had the phones ringing so hard they’re practically levitating," said SALEM RADIO NETWORK VP/News & Talk Programming TOM TRADUP. "So we are excited to be presenting a fair and balanced debate on the subject featuring two of the keenest minds on either side of the political spectrum, THOM HARTMANN and MICHAEL MEDVED."
"In true debate fashion, both sides negotiated everything down to the bumper music and alternating top billing for each segment," said TRADUP, who noted that the show is being treated as a stand-alone event rather than part of a larger show. "It’s going to be fun, informative and a fair-and-balanced look at 2009’s hottest issue as only MEDVED and HARTMANN could deliver it."
