MEDIABISTRO's FISHBOWLLA.COM is reporting that CNN is auditioning talent for a new liberal-conservative debate show in the vein of the network's old "CROSSFIRE."
Among the names listed by FISHBOWLLA as potential conservative voices on the show are CITADEL Talk WLS-A/CHICAGO afternoon host and syndicated commentator ROE CONN, CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WOAI-A/SAN ANTONIO and KPRC-A/HOUSTON host JOE PAGLIARULO, BUCKLEY Talk WOR-A/NEW YORK and WOR RADIO NETWORK personality STEVE MALZBERG, and Republican strategist and frequent cable news commentator JOE WATKINS.
On the liberal side, former PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER columnist, ESPN commentator and WEPN-A (1050 ESPN)/NEW YORK host STEPHEN A. SMITH, "YOUNG TURKS" host CENK UYGUR, ACCESS.1 Talk WWRL-A/NEW YORK host and NEW YORK DAILY NEWS columnist ERROL LOUIS, and CNN commentator and former MIDWAY Talk WVON-A/CHICAGO host ROLAND S. MARTIN are mentioned as possible participants.
